State Fair Participation

AWA is the largest nonprofit woodworking group in Albuquerque, but we have the least participation in the New Mexico State Fair. For me, it is embarrassing that as a group we had only two entries from only one AWA member.
What can we do to encourage participation in next years State Fair?
You can enter items to be judged, or for display only.
We do not need to man a booth/table, and we do not have to demonstrate.
Our participation should be helping with registration, judging entries and help on pickup day
