A makerspace is public shop with a range of tools that you can use by joining and paying dues. Different makerspaces have different dues structures and each makerspace has it’s own range of tools. Most offer classes, mainly oriented to safe use of the tools in the space. Woodworking is typically only a part of the space – most have 3D printing, metalworking tools, and so on.
