Welcome to the New Website

Our new Albuquerque website is now operational - but far from finished so some things will not work at present. Come back often and see how we change!! Click on the menu items in the upper left and tour our new information. More specific information about menu topics can be found in the Forum section of our website where members can post pictures and information about club activities.

OUR STORY

Albuquerque Woodworkers Association was formed in 1981 by Nick Claus, Scott Taylor and Sevn Hanson to provide a place for local woodworkers to exchange ideas and information about woodworking as both a hobby and profession. Our members come from many different careers and backgrounds from business, science and technology to professional crafts and trades.

Community Activities

In addition to our educational and informational activities the AWA has groups of members involved in charitable activities in our area. In 2013 the club donated 3000+ hand made wooden toys to various charities for distribution to children in need. In addition we also donated Approx. 1200 toys to the Albuquerque Police Dept. to be placed in officers patrol cars so they may distribute them to children during police calls.
